There’s something about the Carolina coast that makes senior sessions feel extra magical. For this one, Karys and her sweet mom traveled all the way from Greensboro to meet me in Wilmington for a day they’ll never forget.

We split the session between Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach…starting with a breezy, coastal vibe in town and ending with toes in the sand as the sun slipped into a golden glow. It was everything we love: light, airy, joyful, and a little bit salty.

We kicked off in one of my favorite spots near Wrightsville Beach—a location that feels super coastal and has a little bit of that Charleston charm. It’s airy, colorful, and the perfect backdrop for a fresh, timeless look. Karys had two outfit changes here, which gave us a mix of both polished portraits and fun, carefree shots.

We wrapped the day with toes in the sand at Wrightsville Beach, timing it perfectly for golden hour. The sky had that glowing, cotton-candy hue and the water mirrored every shade of it—pure magic.
