It all started in 2011 when my husband purchased me a $300 European camera for Christmas from craigslist. Little did I know that the small purchase he made would change everything for us and the dreams of being able to capture love stories as my career started. It's crazy to think back to that day and how far this journey has taken me.
Over a decade ago I started Amy Allen Photography and it grew quickly as we have shot weddings as close as Wilmington + the Outer Banks and as far as Washington DC and Jamaica. We have been shooting weddings since 2012 and have documented over 180 weddings since then!
After having my daughter and having limited time with her on the weekends, I decided to transition into motherhood photography. I realized I could offer even greater value to my clients by dedicating myself to my newfound passion for capturing the essence of motherhood. What a blessing it has been to document so many precious little ones and families along the way.
